Fuqua is very involved with high performance equestrian industry since the Atlanta 1996 Olympics. Raised in Houston, she competed in figure skating, not riding horses til she was 35. With a business degree from Denver University, she rose thru corporate ranks in commercial real estate for 20 years, leading the disposition of a billion dollar portfolio for RTC/FDIC during the S&L crisis. Then for The Rouse Co., best in class public co. in mall development, she leased to retailers opening stores from the east to west coasts, knowledgable about merchandising, marketing and product sales.

Her husband Jeff, whom  she met working at the same firm in Denver, also ambitious became a top mixed use developer, most known for the Braves Stadium retail. The two took up dressage and ended up collecting lots of sport horses, traveling to Germany, Holland, Belgium & Denmark to acquire their top mounts. By 2001, they built Collecting Gaits Farm, bringing in top Olympic trainers and both competed at Grand Prix over 15 years ago. By 2003, Fuquas sponsored the USEF Collecting Gaits Farm National Championships and Olympic trials for ten years, then, US Pony Finals Presented by Collecting Gaits Farm til Covid. In 2005, Shereen started producing and selling GumBits, chewing gum for horses, initially to the olympians of dressage, then expanded globally and in other disciplines. Developing and designing her farm and her homes, Shereen worked with some of the top Atlanta designers and published her properties. “It was a really fun time to learn the design business and acquire art. Spending my entire career in commercial real estate and specializing in retail industry, challenged me to bring a higher vibe to the residential side of design for our home and farm. I have always been attracted to a certain classic timeless style and brought that style into my farm.”

After success in business and horse showing, Shereen had her daughter Kat 2007. Shereen raised Kat and managed her riding career with training and public relations at her young age of six. She excelled in Ponies, Hunters, Equitation, Jumpers & Dressage. She & Kat tour the country as Kat competes and wins at national championships. Kat qualified and rode 2023 and 2024 for the US Dressage European YR Team, winning multiple gold medals at FEI, and 5th at the prestigious CHIO Aachen horse show. Shereen is very involved in training Kat at the FEI ranks, coaching her to 4 gold medals, silver & bronze at FEI NAYC 2024 and 2023. Shereen continues to train Kat due to scheduling issues with trainers at 2025 Adequan Global Dressage Festival for 10 Blue Ribbon wins in the CDIY and 7 Blue Ribbon wins in the National classes with four FEI Level Horses, Kat brought up.

Shereen has designed three homes and published all of them. Shereen enjoys promoting her husband’s firm and daughter's successes through public relations, article writing, graphic design & social media. In 2020 thru 2025 a Manhattan to Palm Beach advertorial branded luxury lifestyle, fashion, and art publication, pursued Shereen as a client and then to join as Equestrian Editor. Publisher acknowledged her contacts and nearly 30 years experience with the sport horse industry plus 12- year season Wellington, FL resident for competition. Fuqua volunteered her time with Art Bodega, in the world she loves & knows for several seasons, and as a customer herself to bring a higher level of international equestrian competition content to their luxury clientele. Then going on her third year living in Germany, it made sense to partner with a big distributor for her GumBits product ,coupled with her daughter’s training and competition schedule, her focus shifted away from public relations and pr opportunities to her first two loves, her family & her business.

Her stable love for her daughter and horses has taught KAT kindness and love in today’s difficult times. Shereen’s passion and drive is unyielding in everything she does. It is her strenghth and her weakness., Shereen’s major goal is to teach KAT business and street smarts for her daughter’s choosing to pursue her own dreams while learning how to maneuver through the good and bad directions people may offer.
