Jeff & Shereen bought the property in Milton, GA in a very horsey neighborhood of Alpharetta, 45 minutes north of Atlanta in 2000. Jeff acquired several pieces up to 50 acres, and redeveloped the land flat so the horses could have flat turn out to graze in a safe space. Jeff hired the architects and designed the farm based on his travels in Europe. It took nearly a year to build and open in summer of 2001. To celebrate, Collecting Gaits Farm became the title sponsor of the US Dressage Festival of Champions, among many future sponsorships with USEF to give back to the sport, along with USET and many regional and local horse clubs. Today, the barn houses Kat’s competition horses, some retired, and still Dueville, whom Jeff traveled to Hof Kasselman and purchased for his wife, pregnant with Kat in 2007. Dueville is happily living there to this day at 29 years old, along with Kat’s first miniature horse, Nutterbutter, who was new born at Kat’s 1st birthday party. And Kat’s first Junior Hunter too is retired there, Jett.
